Hokkaido milk ice cream: Nordic Farm

A local cow farm, Nordic Farm in Ikutahara Town, produces grass-fed milk and make delicious ice cream using the milk. Their ice cream is smooth, milky and rich in flavor, thanks to their special care to the well-being of dairy cows.

At the shop, they have around 20 flavors of gelato, soft-serve ice cream, pudding ans some other sweets made with their signature milk. My favorite has been a combo of milk and caramel gelato since my childhood.

They used to have another shop in a shopping mall in Kitami where I went quite often when I was a kid. It was sad to know that now they operate only in Ikutahara, which is a bit far from my home, but still it’s nice to drive over here for a sweet treat and continue to a hot spring nearby.
